CORION SIGNS FOR 2025

Young winger with Championship experience makes Midlands move

We are pleased to announce the signing of winger Travis Corion following his release from now fellow League One side Dewsbury Rams.

Travis, 23, started his career at Super League side Huddersfield Giants before signing for dual-registration partners Sheffield Eagles ahead of the 2021 Championship season. An injury-hit spell for the Eagles gave the then-20 year old Travis an opportunity to make his professional debut, where he went on to score two tries in five appearances.

These efforts attracted the interest of then-League One side Doncaster, where he scored 12 tries in 33 appearances across the 2022 and 2023 seasons that culminated in the Dons getting promoted to the Championship. Travis was then signed by Dewsbury ahead of the 2024 Championship season where he featured seven times and scored three tries, including an impressive brace against Toulouse Olympique.

Travis on signing with the Canes:

After a tough season in 2024 I knew I needed to be somewhere that would allow me to express myself as a player and have a good dig with some good lads.

After meeting Mark and speaking to a few of the players I knew that this was the best move for me to bring back that love for the sport.

Head Coach Mark Dunning on securing Travis:

We’re delighted to welcome Travis and his family to the club and the wider Hurricanes family.

Travis is a player who we have been aware of for a number of years dating back to his time in a good Huddersfield Giants setup, where he had a very successful partnership with Dom Young on the right edge.

Travis is a very good athlete with great pace and agility and will certainly add to our outside backs in a positive way. He is eager to regain his love for the game and his confidence and we feel that in our environment he can do that and show everyone just what he’s capable of.

Travis becomes our seventh new signing of the 2025 season alongside Aiden Roden, Ryan Johnson, Elliot Morris, Zeus Silk, Jose Kenga and Sullivan Medforth. #DARETODREAM
