YOUR CHANCE TO BECOME A 'CANE FOR THE DAY!

Following the news of Cornwall’s withdrawal from the Betfred League One and that our planned away fixture on Sunday 4 May would be cancelled, the leadership group at the Midlands Hurricanes decided this was an opportunity to make the most out of a bad situation. We are therefore delighted to confirm that we will be giving all of our fans the chance to become a “Cane for the day”!

We are inviting fans to join us on Saturday 3rd May 2025 at Avery Fields - the home of Bournville Rugby Club - for a fantastic opportunity to interact with and learn from Head Coach Mark Dunning, Assistant Coach Leigh Beattie and the entire Midlands Hurricanes squad. The event - which is open for all age groups - will see all fans attending having the chance to enjoy:

  • a pre-training briefing with the squad;

  • training with various members of the first team;

  • an interactive skills session;

  • mini games with the players; and

  • a post-session Q+A with Club Chairman Mike Lomas, Managing Director Eorl Crabtree and Head Coach Mark Dunning.

There will also be music, a bbq and the ability to enjoy Bournville’s impressive clubhouse bar! The event will begin at 11am and will finish roughly at 4pm, however fans are of course welcome to leave earlier if they have other commitments. Tickets for this event are £5 for Adults and £2 for Under 18’s, the price of which includes a free shirt especially made for the event and free parking at Avery Fields.
