I am really pleased to continue my journey with the new Hurricanes club. 2021 was a great year and I put some of my best performances in but now want to continue to progress to give myself the best possible opportunity to represent Ireland on the International stage.
We got some massive wins against clubs that traditionally wouldn’t even see us as a threat but now every club in this league respects us and see the hurricanes as a massive threat. We’ve always had a very young squad at the Bears traditionally but we’ve brought in a lot of experience last year which really brought the standards around the club to a new level and really helped the lads to learn from each other. The new players Richard has brought in are exciting talents that will help us get to really improve on the platform of last year and the aim now has got to be blow last year out of the water.
I had a lot of interest from clubs around the league and above from the Championship but I couldn't pass up the opportunity of being a part of the Hurricanes. Alan and Mike’s vision of growing the sport in the Midlands will be very special. Even asa irish man born and bred i've proudly adopted Coventry and the Midlands as my second home and want to do everything I can do to grow the game and to see the Hurricanes succeed. With the group of players we have going forward for next season we can really do something spectacular in 2022.

Coventry Bears has been a big part my life for the past five years, but previously I represented the Midlands Hurricanes at academy level. The fact I can now do that again in League One is really exciting. I know all the hard work that has gone on behind the scenes to make this happen, so I hope the old and new fans can get behind this new challenge.
I have high expectations for the squad we are building this year. There’s a mixture of old and new faces, so I can’t wait to see what the season holds.
