Ethan Newboult signs short-term deal with the Canes

We are pleased to confirm that we have signed young back Ethan Newboult on a short-term deal until the end of the 2024 season (with an option to extend this for the 2025 season) following his release from Bradford Bulls.

Ethan, who can play at both half-back and hooker, has featured regular for Bradford’s reserves over the past two seasons and made his first-team debut in a pre-season victory over Hull FC in January.

Along with new loanees Jose Kenga, Finley Beardsworth, Finlay Irwin, Harry Higham and Sully Medforth, Ethan goes straight into contention for Mark Dunning’s 21-man squad to face Oldham on Sunday (which will be published shortly).
