Mark Dunning Signs Contract Extension to 2026

Midlands Hurricanes RLFC are delighted to announce that Head Coach Mark Dunning has agreed a contract extension until the end of the 2026 season.

Committing to the Hurricanes for at least the next two years, Mark Dunning said “I am delighted to extend my contract until the end of 2026. I am really happy with the ongoing journey and excited by the outcomes that we are all striving for here in the Midlands.

This project has always excited me and I believe we are building a strong side here at the Hurricanes. The support of the fans here has been immense and they are as passionate as any in Rugby League, I look forward to many more afternoons at Alexander Stadium as Hurricanes Head Coach.”

Speaking about the extensions, Hurricanes Chairman Mike Lomas said: “We are delighted to announce the extension of Mark’s contract until the end of 2026. When Mark first joined us we spoke about the journey we would be going on to promote Rugby League in the Midlands and his commitment to this new deal allows us to continue the great work we are doing on the pitch to fulfil our vision long term.”

Mark was appointed Head Coach of the Hurricanes exactly one year ago today and in that time has already overseen a huge transformation of the on field operation of the club, which currently sees us challenging for what has historically been an elusive place in the play-offs for this season.

Mark is sponsored by Crystal Clear Bi-Folds.
