Leigh Beattie Extends Contract to 2026

Midlands Hurricanes RLFC are pleased to announce that Assistant Head Coach Leigh Beattie has agreed a contract extension to the end of the 2026 season.

Leigh joins Mark Dunning in signing a contract extension for at least a further two years, having also joined the club with Mark in June 2023.

Speaking about this contract extension, Chairman Mike Lomas said: “I am delighted that Leigh has committed his future to the club and we all know how imperative he is to Mark’s team of staff. There are no doubts that we are pushing in the right direction as a club and I am very pleased to have Leigh joining us further on this journey. He’s a great person to have around the club and I hope him and Mark are here for many years to come.”

Following the agreement of his new deal, Leigh said: “I’m really pleased to have signed a contract extension here at the Hurricanes. It’s a great club with great people and I am really looking forward to the next two years here. Thanks to Mark, Greg and Mike for giving me the opportunity and helping me find my mojo again here in the Midlands!”

Speaking about Leigh’s new deal, Head Coach Mark Dunning has said “I am very happy that Leigh has joined me in committing to the journey here at the Hurricanes for another two years. Leigh has certainly become an important part of our club and adds value to our group. The club is growing on and off the pitch and we are both very excited to see where the club can go in the next two years.”
