Sheffield forward returns to Birmingham on loan swap deal

We can confirm that Sheffield Eagles' forward Lewis Peachey has joined the club on loan until the end of the Betfred League One season. 

As part of that deal, Marcus Green will join Sheffield on loan until the end of the Championship season and could feature for Craig Lingard's men as soon as this Sunday when they take on London Broncos. We wish Marcus all the best with his loan move. 

Peachey, 24, will be no stranger to Canes fans as he regularly featured for us last season on dual-registration from Sheffield. The Derbyshire-born prop made 19 appearances and scored six tries for us last season, including an impressive brace of tries against Newcastle Thunder that including a break from the half-way line. Lewis has made just over 80 professional career appearances since making his Super League debut against Catalan Dragons in April 2019. 

With no game for the Canes this weekend, Peachey's first opportunity to make his second debut will be next Sunday's clash with Swinton Lions at Heywood Road.
