Two new appointments for the 2023 season

The Hurricanes are thrilled to announce two appointments for the 2023 season.

Liam Welham will take the role of player/assistant coach. Liam played a pivotal role in the team’s success last season with his on and off field experience being an integral part of the squad’s development. Liam will join Head Coach Rich Squires in an assistant coach capacity whilst still being a part of the match day squad, as his stats show time and time again – there’s plenty of life left in those legs yet!

Liam’s role as captain will be taken by Chris Cullimore. Chris re-joined the club on a season long loan from Keighley and instantly showed his strengths as both a player and a leader. We look forward to seeing him lead the lads out in the coming 2023 season! #UTC #ComeonyouCanes
