Sweeting Signs for 2024

Midlands Hurricanes are delighted to confirm the singing of Jake Sweeting from Keighley Cougars for 2024.

Jake made a big impact on loan last season, scoring a brace in our 38-18 win over London Skolars.

Jake has said the following about signing for the Canes: "I really enjoyed my time on loan last year with Mark, Leigh and the team. When Mark told me he wanted me to stay on a permanent basis, it was a no brainer for me.

I’m really excited to see what next season brings - hopefully I can do a good job and play my part in achieving what we want to do next year!"

Head Coach Mark Dunning said: "Jake joined us on loan late last season and fit straight into the group seamlessly. He added value to what we were doing and demonstrated the experience he had from playing at a higher level, including at Wembley in the 1895 Cup final just a couple of years ago. I’m excited to see the contribution from Jake once he has had a preseason with us,  which will allow him more time to build relationships with the other players in our spine."
