Sam Bowring represents Wales in Chairman's XIII match

A proud moment for Sam Bowring as he recently represented Wales in their Chairman’s XIII match vs Cumbria at the LEL Arena on 13th October.

The Hurricanes Supporter’s club Player of the Year was named in a 20 man squad and whilst Wales lost the game 23-4, it was a great honour for Sam to be selected for his country.

Speaking about the call up Sam said: "I'm delighted to have been called up and cannot wait to put the shirt on. Being selected for your country is a proud moment. I have always aimed to play at the highest level possible and being at the Hurricanes has allowed me to gain that achievement."

Hurricanes Head Coach Mark Dunning had this to say about the call up: "I want to congratulate Sam on his call up to represent Wales for their game against Cumbria. Sam’s performances were consistently of a high standard to the back end of last year and everyone is thrilled to see him gain the recognition he deserves."

Everyone associated with the Hurricanes is delighted that Sam’s performances in 2023 were recognised with this call up and we cannot wait to see Sam back in action in 2024.
