OH DANNY BOY – THE HURRICANES ARE CALLING

Following his strong contributions to the Hurricanes last season, we are delighted to confirm we have exercised our option to retain Danny Barcoe for the 2024 season!

Danny made an immediate impact to the Canes earlier this year, with the young hooker scoring on his debut during our 41-10 thrashing of League 1 play-off winners Doncaster.

The 23-year old will continue to provide strong competition for the #9 shirt, alongside veteran Chris Cullimore and Elliott Windley.

Barcoe on signing for the Canes: "I am so happy to be signing for the 2024 season. I enjoyed every second of the four games that I played for the club last year – Mark and Lee have done a class job since coming in! We have so much potential next year as a group and I can see us going far. I hope to see a lot of Canes fans down at The Alexander supporting us."

Head Coach Mark Dunning on retaining Danny: "We're very happy that Danny has agreed to extend his stay with us at the Hurricanes.

Danny made a real impact when he joined us towards the back end of last season and both his service from Dummy-Half and his running game added positively to our attack.

Danny is a real professional and we're all excited to see him continue to develop his game through pre-season and in to 2024."

Will you be at The Alexander to see Danny in action? News on Season Tickets and sponsorship will be released shortly, so watch this space.
