Midlands Hurricanes and Birmingham Brummies Announce Partnership

Midlands Hurricanes are delighted to announce a reciprocal partnership with Birmingham Brummies Speedway.

The Brummies, who’s home is just a mile away from The Alexander Stadium at Perry Barr Stadium, are a staple when it comes to summer sport in Birmingham. Birmingham Brummies are themselves a former tenant of Alexander Stadium, with them leaving The Alex in 1960.

The team now compete at the top table of British Speedway, the Premiership. Their meets in 2024 will be on Monday evenings from March to October - with their full fixture list available on their website.

As part of this partnership, the staff of both clubs will work together on a number of collaborations.

Speaking on the partnership, Hurricanes Commercial Manager Nick Parr has said “I am very pleased to welcome Birmingham Brummies Speedway as a club partner and hope this is the start of a long and successful partnership.

Steve and Laurence have been great during this entire process and I know that both us and the Brummies are keen to thank Stuart at Curtis Sports for facilitating this.

Welcoming another club partner highlights the strength of the offering for Storm Card holders in 2024, in addition to free entry to cricket at Edgbaston, we now have another fantastic offering with free entry to Brummies Speedway here in Perry Barr - The Storm Card is becoming a true summer sport season ticket in Birmingham.

I look forward to welcoming Brummies Speedway fans to The Alex in 2024 and I hope to be at a number of your meets along with our Storm Card Holders during the summer too.”

Steve Rolleston, commercial manager for the Brummies has said: “It is a pleasure to become a partner with Midlands Hurricanes and I look forward to working with them on several initiatives moving forward”.
