RUSS SPIERS JOINS THE HURRICANES

The Midlands Hurricanes can announce the signing of Russ Spiers. The prop or loose forward brings a wealth of experience in League One signing from Doncaster.

Russ is a very experienced middle who knows how to lead from the front. In my opinion he could be the missing part to the puzzle for the upcoming season. We have lacked leadership upfront and the way Russ plays the game is something we can really move forward with and he has been great with the other forwards young and old. It’s great to have him on board and look forward to him playing his part in the 2022 season.

The midlands is a great concept and something that caught my eye when launched. Having spoken with Rich for several weeks and listening to his ambitions for the season and what he wants to achieve as a group is what got my attention. I have played with a few players previously such as Liam Welham and Dave Scott, when speaking with them they had nothing but positives to say about the club as a whole. I play direct and physical and think I can add that to young but big pack we have this season. Setting a platform will be a target of mine and I want to play my part in helping the club push for the playoffs.
