2025 BETFRED LEAGUE ONE FIXTURES REVEALED

Hurricanes league campaign to start in late February

The wait is finally over: your Midlands Hurricanes 2025 Betfred League One fixtures are now here!

As confirmed by the club this morning, our league campaign will start with a trip to the league’s new kids on the block, Goole Vikings, which will see us travel to the Victoria Pleasure Ground on Sunday 23 February 2025. Two weeks later, the Canes will enjoy their first league home game of the season as they welcome Workington Town to The Alexander Stadium on Sunday 9 March 2025.

Looking towards the tail-end of the campaign, our final away game of the regular season will see us travel to the Flair Stadium to lock horns with the 2023 Betfred League One Champions Dewsbury Rams on Sunday 31 August 2025, whereas our last home game of the regular season will see us welcome Newcastle Thunder to The Alex on Sunday 7 September 2025.

More details about the 2025 League One structure will be released shortly, as the previous automatic promotion for the league winners and a play-off system for the teams finishing second to sixth has been replaced with a “Super 8s” format. In this new format, the top four clubs in League One will join the bottom four clubs in the Championship for a four-round tournament and a final to determine the three teams that will compete in the Championship (and which five teams will compete in League One) for 2026.

Before the league campaign gets underway, fans will be pleased to hear that they will have the opportunity to see the Canes in a pre-season friendly, as well as competing in the 1895 Cup and the Challenge Cup. Details of these fixtures/draws will be released as soon as we have more information.

As we know fans will be keen to get their hands on them as soon as possible, we can confirm information about season tickets will be released shortly!
